Česká zbrojovka a.s. (founded in 1936) is a leading engineering company dealing with the manufacture and sales of small arms of world class quality. The company is a member of the Česká zbrojovka Group SE holding, also incorporating the companies: CZ-USA, CZ-AUTO, CZ Export Praha and 4M Systems.
Česká zbrojovka a.s. trades with more than one hundred countries worldwide. In 2018, the largest customers were the USA, the Czech Republic, South Africa, Canada, France, Thailand, Germany, Poland, Slovakia, Austria, Hungary, Australia and Italy. “The best-selling products were our CZ P-10 C pistols with a linear striker in the compact version, the CZ 455/457 rimfire rifle series and the Scorpion EVO 3 submachine guns,” said the company’s President and Chairman of the Board, Ladislav Britaňák.
In the previous year, Česká zbrojovka a.s. also continued making investments. “The total amount of investments in 2018 reached more than CZK 400 million,” added Ladislav Britaňák, the President and Chairman of the Board. Furthermore, the company brought a number of new products to the market. It expanded the very successful SHADOW 2 sport pistol series with their Optics Ready versions, that is models with the option to attach a collimator sight, a feature becoming increasingly popular in a new sport shooting discipline. The same innovation was also applied to the commercially successful model, the P-10 C OR pistol. Fans of shooting at longer distances were pleased with the new CZ 527 and CZ 557 NIGHT SKY EDITION with a polymer stock and a cylindrical compensator fitted at the muzzle. Another new product, the CZ 527 VARMINT MTR sport rifle, represents the field of highly accurate shooting at long distances, while shooters interested in semi-automatic firearms were happy to welcome the CZ BREN 2 BREN 2Ms in .223 Rem. and 7.62×39 calibres.
Česká zbrojovka a.s. employs almost 1 800 people at their plant in Uherský Brod. In addition, it cooperates with the “Centrum odborné přípravy technické” (a local secondary technical school) which trains specialists in technical professions according to the exact requirements of CZ, thus partially eliminating a nation-wide shortage of workers.
